£150 vouchers available for any small business that wants to get online, trade online or grow online

Despite the fact that we now live in a digital economy and total website sales in the UK are worth £164 billion a year, over half of UK small businesses do not yet use the internet for their business. Let’s change that.

Around two million businesses – sole traders or micro businesses – are not yet online and have therefore not discovered the benefits it will bring them. Add to that the fact that of those businesses that are online, two thirds of them do not carry out sales online but simply, for instance, advertise.

This is why Buckinghamshire Business First is partnering with Oxfordshire Business Support and the Bucks and Oxfordshire LEP’s to provide financial support to help small businesses do more online.

The £150 ‘Get Online, Trade Online’ vouchers will become available in early 2015 and are aimed at helping small businesses based in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire towards the cost of a website development project worth at least £350.

The vouchers, which are available until March 2015 can contribute towards the cost of:

  • Building a website
  • Taking payment online
  • Engaging with customers through social media
  • Becoming efficient with online finance
  • Marketing to customers online
  • Staying safe online.

So if you are a small business who knows there’s more business to do online don’t delay, find our more about the project and express an interest early.

If you are a provider of digital based web solutions, you can take part in this scheme by registering your interest with us so that customers can contact you to exchange their vouchers.

How can I register my interest?

It’s easy! Fill in our expression of interest form and we’ll contact you with more information as it becomes available.
