£60m investment fund launched to develop low carbon automotive technologies

Innovate UK, BIS and the Advanced Propulsion Centre are after projects that reduce CO2 and other emissions and will benefit the UK’s low carbon supply chain.

Between them, the three are investing up to £60 million in collaborative research and development funding to support the development of low carbon, low emission automotive propulsion technologies.

Projects must demonstrate technologies that:

  • Deliver significant reductions in CO2 or other emissions compared to current best-in-class technologies
  • Align with Automotive Technology Group Roadmaps with respect to advanced propulsion solutions
  • Develop the UK’s supply chain in the field of low carbon vehicle propulsion technology.

Applicants must first register with Innovate UK by noon on Wednesday 24 June 2015, while the deadline for submissions is at noon on Wednesday 1 July 2015.
