Whispercam who became members of Buckinghamshire Business First (BBF) in March 2015, have found the use of the business hub, meeting rooms and the preferential rates for use of conference facilities at the Clare Charity Centre, Saunderton – an extremely valuable benefit.

In time, as the business develops and its needs change, Whispercam can also take advantage of other member benefits as the need arises – these include free business support, funding and grants, an extensive events programme and the top notch BBF research facility. Here is their story so far...

Whispercam Ltd, based in Marlow, Bucks was founded in 2014 by two current Airline Captains – Paul Nicklin and Rich Pullen. The company provides HD aerial video and stills photography solutions, using drones or aeroplanes. Whispercam Ltd has a “permit to work” from the Civil Aviation Authority for it to be able to carry out this very specialist type of work, where flight safety is of paramount importance. They also provide training for individuals to obtain an unmanned pilot’s qualification.

Clients vary from those starting a new venture, those who use drones as add-ons to an existing business, to larger organisations that want to establish their own in-house facilities. One client for example, works for Team GB producing various forms of media. Others work in photography and film or in property maintenance and surveying. In fact, the range of businesses that approach and use the company is extremely diverse.

At this point in time, the most valuable membership benefits for Whispercam are the use of the hub, meeting rooms and the preferential rates for use of the Clare Charity Centre conference facilities. “These facilities are perfect for us when we carry out our training days.” declared Captain Paul Nicklin, Director of Whispercam Ltd. 'We use the larger conference rooms for the training and use the smaller rooms for break- out sessions or small meetings. We “pick and mix” as the business requires. Having the bistro on site is a great thing too. We have everything that we need in the one place!  This saves us time and money. It is perfect!”

All the various facilities on offer were used when the company recently ran a drone pilot training and assessment day for BBC staff. They also make use of the meeting rooms for any visiting clients. “Thanks to BBF - we feel that we have our own mobile office. We couldn’t be happier with the advantages that we have received as members of BBF.” continues Paul. The people are always very friendly, professional and happy to help. We feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have found them!”

Whispercam Ltd are currently looking at future plans which include new schools opening in Norwich, Cardiff, St. Andrews and Belfast.
