The traditional Barber Pole is a symbol of a long-gone era, but High Wycombe-based barber shop entrepreneur Dimitri Matheou has created a range of barber pole replicas and furniture based on authentic vintage barber poles and signs to keep the spirit alive. Vintage poles are almost impossible to find these days and so he designed a new range which faithfully replicate some of the most classic designs.

One of the most striking is a 1960s style Chevrolet car replica which can take centre stage as a unique and striking salon reception desk. The quirky new range has just been launched to barbers and hairdressers worldwide. See the fantastic work for yourself at the Cronus Barber Shop Furniture website.

The Guardian has named Wendover and its surrounding area as one of its 20 Great Country Walks. The article waxed lyrical about the seven-mile route it suggested walkers take, and took the time to mention the best stop-off points along the route, including Buckinghamshire Business First members The Red Lion, the King and Queen, Village Gate, the George and Dragon, and The Packhorse.

Visit Buckinghamshire shared a very popular stand at an Excursions trade show recently with Buckinghamshire’s latest tourist attraction the Green Dragon Rare Breeds Farm and Eco Centre. The trade show is aimed at destinations and attractions venues who are looking to expand their business and who wish to talk to tour organisers and operators face to face. The 2015 Visit Buckinghamshire Guide and 2015 Group Leisure Guides were also on display for interested visitors. Go to the Visit Buckinghamshire website to keep up with the best of tourism and leisure in Buckinghamshire or speak to Charlotte Walker charlotte@bbf.uk.com to find out how Visit Buckinghamshire can help promote your business.
