BBC Radio 4 is looking for small businesses to star in a new show!

If you run a small business and would like to be involved, get in touch with us at Buckinghamshire Business First and you could feature on the show! This is a great opportunity to get some national attention and talk about your passion for your business.

There are four main themes that will be discussed on the show:

  • Non-consumer rights - finding energy suppliers; insurance; struggling with verbal contracts.
  • Fraud - Including fraudulent activity concerning mail, telephone or online orders; the hacking of telephone systems; company impersonation fraud; website hijacking; cybercrime.
  • Handling complaints - This could be first-hand accounts of how you feel customers behave from the other side of the counter/invoice. Is the customer always right? Is there too much bureaucracy involved? Most businesses will have some amusing customer-based anecdotes - this is the time to share them!
  • The joy of being your own boss. What emotional journey have you been on? The highs and the lows - the big contracts you won or the moment you realised it hadn’t worked out as you’d hoped; the reward and satisfaction of running your own business mixed with the risk of it all going wrong.

Several small businesses will take part in pre-recorded interviews before Wednesday 10 December.

If you would like to be on BBC Radio 4 telling the nation about your business, contact us on 01494 927130 or at info@bbf.uk.com by Monday 24 November.
