Buckinghamshire Business First launches monthly ‘Ask The Expert Sessions’

Four separate sessions will be held each month on Exporting, Growth, Innovation and R&D Funding and Manufacturing in partnership with the Business Growth Service.

Sessions will be held at the BBF Saunderton Hub, Clare Charity Centre, Wycombe Road, Saunderton, High Wycombe, Bucks HP14 4HU.

The following upcoming ‘Ask The Expert Sessions’ are available:

  • Growth - Friday 13th March with Growth Accelerator
  • Export - Friday 20th March with UK Trade & Investment & Enterprise Europe Network
  • Manufacturing - Friday 27th March with Manufacturing Advisory Service
  • Innovation and R&D Funding - Friday 3rd April with Enterprise Europe Network

Exporting Session

Talk to an expert from UK Trade & Investment about:

  • Selecting the right export market for your business
  • Researching export markets
  • Development of an export action plan
  • Website adaption for overseas trade
  • Language and cultural considerations
  • Registering for overseas business opportunity alerts
  • Export skills training
  • Exhibiting successfully overseas
  • Help with commercialising IP overseas

Talk to Enterprise Europe Network about:

  • Receiving personal introductions to companies in 54 countries
  • Finding manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors and distributors
  • Browsing and promoting your products in a database of close to 7000 business opportunities
  • Participating in matchmaking events during large international trade fairs

Growth Session

Helping businesses to achieve their potential by identifying their barriers to growth and providing tailored support that fits their needs, including:

  • Business development coaching
  • Building leadership and management skills
  • Accessing finance
  • Growth through innovation

  • Referring to other sources of support

Manufacturing Session

Helping manufacturers to:

Innovation and R&D Funding Session

Enterprise Europe Network helps businesses to:

  • Source and sell technologies and find co-developers through a database of close to 4000 technologies from 54 countries
  • Find licencing deals
  • Find partners for EU funded R&D projects

This session will also help business understand EU R&D funding, including:

  • How it works, what’s funded and how to apply
  • Having proposals reviewed
  • Focus on Horizon 2020, and its sub-programmes SME Instrument and Fast Track to Innovation, and Eurostars.
