Buckinghamshire Business First members visit the House of Commons

Buckinghamshire Business First members Aylesbury Escargot, Chiltern Ridge Apple Juice, Malt the Brewery and Rumsey’s Chocolaterie were invited to the Commons by Aylesbury MP David Lidington, Buckingham MP and Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow, and Chesham and Amersham MP Cheryl Gillan.

The occasion was the Chilterns and Aylesbury Vale food day. MPs from across the political spectrum were treated to a veritable feast of delicious products which showcased the talents in Buckinghamshire’s food and drink industry and which also encouraged people across the country to think about Buckinghamshire as a tourist destination to savour.

David Lidington MP said: “It was very good to welcome local food businesses to Westminster for the Chilterns and Aylesbury Vale food day at the House of Commons. The wide range of goods being promoted showcased the wonderful food and drink available in Buckinghamshire and several hundred people came along to sample them. Buckinghamshire produces some of the best food in the country and it was good to be able to share that secret with so many colleagues this week.”
