FREE event: Low Carbon Sustainable Business Conference

Hear speakers on themes of eco innovation, energy efficiency and business travel, and hear how three grant schemes have had a massive impact

The FREE Low Carbon Sustainable Business Conference takes place in London on Tuesday 3 November, organised by Ngage Solutions and supported by the grant schemes it manages: Grants for Eco Innovation, Low Carbon Workspaces and Sustainable Routes.

The event will celebrate the impact these grants have had on the bottom line of businesses across the South East, and will also feature guest talks from experts in sustainability.

This will be the perfect opportunity to meet with experts from across the sustainable business sector. Delegates will:

  • Hear from businesses that have benefitted from the projects, all examples of significant progress and change.
  • Be informed and inspired by speeches from experts in the field.
  • Take part in workshops to discuss key sustainability themes, discussing in detail the challenges and opportunities for their business, and the role of government policy in supporting the low carbon economy.

The following speakers have already been announced:

  • Prof Robert Holdway, Giraffe Innovation – described by ‘The Manufacturer’ magazine as “Britain’s leading eco-design consultant”.
  • Tim Fenn - Green Factory Ltd, ProBe University of Westminster, Oxfordshire Construction Training Group.
  • Martin Orrill - Head of Energy Technology and Innovation at British Gas Business Services.
  • Louise Skipton-Carter - Smarter Choices Coordinator for Sustrans, who manages the European Regional Development Fund project across the South East.
  • Neil Woollam - Energy and Innovation Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland.
  • Rowan Wallis - Director at the Sustainable Business Partnership CIC.

Stylish 15 Hatfields in central London, a leading sustainable conference centre, is the venue for the day. Sustainability is at the heart of everything they do from the carpets you walk on, to the coffee that you drink. And naturally, the aim is to reduce any environmental impact at the event, including going paperless and offsetting any carbon footprint produced by the event.
