Introducing the new Project Manager of Low Carbon Workspaces – Clare Jackson!

Clare joins at an exciting time for the grant scheme which has just widened its scope to be available to more businesses than ever. Find out how you can get a £5,000 grant!

Low Carbon Workspaces (LCW) is a European-funded scheme with £5,000 grants on offer to help SMEs identify energy-saving opportunities at their workplace. Grants can help to pay for a variety of energy efficiency measures, including new boilers, LED lighting, loft insulation and after a tweak to the rules – process machinery. The LCW team has already approved 35 projects for grant funding, so they are not shy about handing out money!

The changes to the LCW grant mean that for the first time the grant can fund efficient process machinery and you now no longer need to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to be eligible for funding. Crucially for small businesses, whereas previously an applicant had to spend £3,000 a year on energy bills to be eligible, this has now been reduced to £1,000 a year.

This is great opportunity for you to cut costs and increase efficiency, but be warned, the grant is time limited and the money is going fast, so don't hesitate to give Clare a call and find out how you can get your hands on £5,000. Clare and her team will be there to guide you through the application process and answer any questions you have.

Check out the “Business building energy calculator” on the LCW website for a better idea of the sort of savings you could make by cutting energy use.
