National Film and Television School named best international film school

The National Film and Television School (NFTS), which was founded in 1971, came top in the Hollywood Reporter’s top 15 international film schools list. Students and alumni of the NFTS have achieved unparalleled success as a result of the teachings at the school, receiving numerous Oscar and BAFTA awards and nominations, as well as working on successful films and TV programmes such as House of Cards and Broadchurch.

NFTS Director Nik Powell said: “This is a tremendous vote of confidence and credit goes to the NFTS’ dedicated staff, tutors and of course, our talented students whose films go on to win prestigious awards worldwide.”

The NFTS is just one of the jewels in Buckinghamshire’s creative crown, which is why Buckinghamshire Business First is delighted to announce a new award celebrating the creative talent in the county in next year’s Buckinghamshire Business Awards. Pinewood Studios will be sponsoring and judging the Digital and Creative Award category – entries for which will be launched at the end of September.
