The 2014 Friends Life Tour of Britain – hang out the bunting!

With coverage of the event being shown on ITV4 and screened to over a 160 countries worldwide, the event will attract visitors from far and wide, so make sure your business gets noticed.

This was the kind of entrepreneurial spirit on show on the opening days of last month’s Tour de France, which kicked off in Yorkshire. Organisers of the Grand Depart for the Tour de France estimate the event will bring £100m to Yorkshire’s economy, so the Tour of Britain represents a similar opportunity for an economic boost in Buckinghamshire.

The Tour will travel through Buckinghamshire, finishing in Hemel Hempstead after a challenging final section through the heart of the Chilterns. This is part of Stage Six of the Tour which begins in Bath.

The official detailed route is available on the Visit Buckinghamshire website, where you can also keep up to date with the latest information on the Tour.

The 2014 Friends Life Tour of Britain is being brought to Bucks by Buckinghamshire County Council, in partnership with Wycombe District Council, Chiltern District Council, Visit Buckinghamshire, Leap and Cycle Chilterns.
