The Bucks Work Placement Challenge is on!

Can you offer a student five days at your business over five weeks? A win-win for all involved – what’s stopping you?

Two-thirds of employers rate workplace skills as a top priority when recruiting, according to research by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills - yet the majority of businesses don’t offer work placements themselves. Help address this issue by giving a Buckinghamshire student the benefit of experience in your workplace.

Buckinghamshire Business First is co-hosting separate events in March with Amersham & Wycombe College and Aylesbury College that will bring businesses and young people together to create mutually beneficial working relationships.

By attending these events you can get to the front of the queue to find the best students looking for a work placement. If you don't, somebody else will! The following businesses have all signed up to the events already; Ashridge Security Management, Auberge du Chocolat, Clarkson Cleaver & Bowes, EmtoMe, Fleetdrive Management, Harmonea Limited, Hypnos, Laurence Gould Partnership, Secured Home Sales, and Tring Martial Arts Academy.

If you haven't signed up yet, you can do so here:

If you have any queries please contact us on events@bbf.uk.com or telephone 01494 568 937.

Buckinghamshire Business First is also hosting events promoting the benefits of taking on an apprentice. These events are on 17 March in Saunderton and 24 March in Aylesbury.
