Grow Movement

Jon Moon, a partner at e-mel, is also a volunteer consultant with an organisation called Grow Movement, which operates in Rwanda, Malawi and Uganda. Grow Movement recruits volunteers to give up a couple of hours a week to mentor African entrepreneurs via Skype, email or phone, helping to grow businesses, create jobs and alleviate poverty. Medical Supermarket

Medical Supermarket have launched a new staff charity scheme called Give a Day. Medical Supermarket is giving each member of staff one paid day a year to do any sort of charity work they wish, whether it is supporting their local school, conservation work, helping the elderly, working at the local pet adoption centre or any other act of kindness and engagement with society.

HWBIDCo

HWBIDCo have set up the new Enterprise HQ space in Church Street, High Wycombe. This has been set up as a high profile commercial space to encourage new or start-up businesses to consider the benefits of trading in the town centre. This is perfect for ambitious entrepreneurs looking to market test their business on the high street. Buckinghamshire Adult Learning event

Find out how apprenticeships are changing business at a free Buckinghamshire Adult Learning event on Wednesday 3 December. Smokin’ Donut have been named as part of Small Business Saturday’s top 100 UK small businesses and are off to have tea and cake with Chancellor George Osborne at Downing Street. Rouse Partners have taken top spot in a prestigious UK accounting award, the Accounting WEB Practice Excellence Programme 2014. Beaconsfield-based Rouse were named Large Practice of the Year and celebrated for their “enthusiastic vision”.
